This Bible is now SOLD.  This bible is about 9 inches by 6 inches, and 3 inches thick. It has a board cover, with the mark of the British and Foreign bible Society for whom it was published. The bible is intact, and the pages are tight and clean (for an 1820 book). There is some stitching showing on the spine, but it is all secure. The thick spine has a leather-like appearance but it was not real leather and is worn. The family records are mainly one page of entires on the blank page before the New Testament, where the names and dates of birth of 11 children are listed, before another two entries recording the birth dates of George Offord and Emily Offord. I believe the family to be identical with the George and Emily Offord family in Great Oakley in 1871. There is a pencil name in the front cover which I think reads Robert Offord, and a scratched out name which is indecipherable. There is also a modern bookmark. Overall this is in good condition and is a family bible with old entries.
