SOW & GROW: early spring in a propagator or mid spring under cover. Celery needs light to germinate – sow seeds on the surface. Prick out into small pots when large enough to handle. At the 5/6 leaf stage harden them off, ready to plant in a block at 12-15cm spacing each way after all danger of frost has passed. There is no need to earth up Tendercrisp. Celery is shallow rooted & will appreciate regular watering & a foliar feed after 6 weeks or so.
