Dorset Down Raw (Unwashed) Fleece 200g

Our Dorset Down Fleece Comes From a Local Farm in Devon. The Dorset Down fleece is one of the most highly valued British fleeces. The wool is short and fine in texture The British Wool Marketing Board classes Dorset Down wool as one of the highest grades in the country.

Excellent for all applications especially nice to spin, though this fleece is onlly 1-2 inches long.

Although there may be some vegetable matter in this fleece it has been picked over and skirted.

At Newmoor barn we only source our sheeps fleece from local small farms which we can visit to ensure the animals are treated with care and respect. All of our fibres are processed entirely by hand.
