MILBRO 'PELICAN' 4'' - Good value centre pin

MILBRO 'PELICAN' 4'' wide solid core drum, perforated front flange with brass centre boss, black waisted handles on circular aluminium seats, brass quick release spool lever, brass rim check lever and brass check mechanism operating a 'V' spring check. Backplate with centre brass retaining cap and chrome foot. In perfect working order and overall very good condition with some age related blemishes to the black painted finish. Two small holes on the back rim are evidence of a line guard being fitted at some stage. Very similar in style and design to J.W. Young's 'PATTERN 9', so much so as to give rise to the strong possibility that the Pelican was simply a version of this pattern made specifically by Young for Milbro to retail. Easier to use than either a Rapidex or Trudex, it's strong, robust and practical, and a good very decent quality starting point centre pin at a value for money price
