Chromed Rear Brake Spring (outward slant brake arm)

This spring is the return spring fitted to the rear brake arm on pressed steel brake plates (almost universally fitted on Nortons from the 1930's to the 1960's.

This spring is copied from an original Norton item and is bright chrome plated.  Price is each

An original Norton spring was used as the pattern for this spring, and as per the original - This particular spring has a slight kink on the end that fits around the brake arm - which on most models also had a similar kink - see photos attached. 

Note: we also sell this spring in unplated form - Item 0387, in case you wish to paint or dull nickel plate the spring, instead of this chromed version.  Some Norton models were also fitted with a brake arm which had a less pronounced kink (or no kink at all) - and it is possible to carefully bend and straighten the spring where it kinks to fit this type of arm - the unplated version being easier to do this
