Die Honda Monkey ist ein kleines motorisiertes Zweirad von Honda und wurde ab 1967 gefertigt. Es gilt als fun bike für die Freizeit, ein Gefährt für eine Person mit ballonartigen 8-Zoll-Stollenreifen.Es gibt Motorradfahrer, die behaupten, der Name leite sich von der Sitzposition ab, man sitze wie der sprichwörtliche "Affe auf dem Schleifstein". Die Urversion der Honda Monkey war, lange vor dem Roller- und Scooter-Boom, eines der ersten Einkaufs-Mopeds, die man auf den damals (Ende der 1970er) neuen, zusätzlichen Heckträgern von Wohnmobilen fand, um unterwegs mobil zu bleiben, ohne das Wohnmobil bewegen zu müssen.

The Honda Z-Series refers to the lineage of mini bikes manufactured by Honda Motorcycles. Though Honda's official model designations are typically Z50A, Z50J, Z50M, Z50R and ZB50, they are more commonly referred to as the "Monkey" or "Gorilla" because of the way people are said to look when riding one of such bikes.
