We will explore the whole system of planets and many moons and the formation of ringed planets in our solar systems. Further, we explore how the crush of gravity within giant gas planets makes them so weird!.
We look at the surface of Mars and the volcanoes on its surface.
By viewing the immersive, full-dome Spitz film “Oasis in Space" we travel the Solar System to view any water worlds amongst the planets - perhaps life on a distant moon?.

And if this wasn't enough fun we will also be making rockets and launching them to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Apollo XI!!.

A planetarium full dome immersive film 360 degree view is used entirely through this workshop.

This workshop is suitable for children aged 3 years and upwards, and will last just over an hour. The session starts at 2pm.

Free access to our dinosaur den and sensory rooms is included in the ticket with the opportunity to enjoy all the numerous interactive activities and real fossils our basement offers.

We do require a parent or guardian to stay with attending children for all of our sessions. One £6.00 (£5.00 + VAT) ticket entitles 1 CHILD and 1 ADULT to attend a Science Zone Workshop. Please note there is an additional charge of £2.00 for any extra non participating children and/or adults.
