Our Exmoor Horn Fleece comes from a small farm just over the border in North Cornwall. The fine staple is approximately 10.5 cm ( 4 inches) and the fleece that is thick and lustrous.

Our Jacob Fleece comes from a farm local to us just over the border in Dutson in Cornwall. The colour combinations of this fleece create some excellent effects for handspinners, great for weaving and for natural felting projects. This fleece has been left in its original mix of whites, browns and blacks. Average staple length is 8cm (3 in.)

Alpaca fleece is the natural fibre harvested from an alpaca. It is light or heavy in weight, depending on how it is spun. It is a soft, durable, luxurious and silky natural fibre. While similar to sheep’s wool, it is warmer, not prickly, and has no lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic. Alpaca is naturally water-repellent and difficult to ignite. This fleece is approximately 2 inches (5cm) long

Our Suffolk Fleece comes from a farm local to us just over the border in Dutson in Cornwall. It has a fine to medium texture with a spiral crimp and is lofty and spongy. It has a good shape retention with an average staple length of7 cm (3 inches).

This Wensleydae loose fibre is sourced from a small flock of Sheep in Cornwall. Our Wensleydale fleece in 200g is hand sorted with a  length of approximately 5" (13 cm) and is excellent for spinning and a wide range of craft activities.

Although there may be some vegetable matter in this fleece it has been picked over and skirted and is ready to be spun raw or washed.

Our Raw (Unwashed) Long wool Fleece Selection Boxes contain six raw (unwashed) Long wool 200g fleece bundles to enable you to try a variety of fibres. This fleece is unwashed and ready to spin in the raw or to wash then spin or felt or use for decoration or doll hair.

Each box contains 1 X 200g Wensleydale, 1 X 200g Black Wensleydale, 1 X 200g Suri Alpaca, 1 X 200g Mohair, 1 X 200g White faced Dartmoor, 1 X 200g Wensleydale Shearling.

Each box also comes with some information on each breed and washing instructions. 

Our Whiteface Dartmoor Fleece comes from a small farm in Devon.  and the fleece that is thick, wavy and lustrous. Average staple length is 6 inch (16cm.) 

Our Mohair fibre comes from a very small herd local to us just over the border  in Cornwall. This mohair comes from young Angora Goats, is fine and silky. Lovely to spin or use for doll hair. Average staple length is 5 inch (13cm.)

 This fleece is from a flock of young Adult Angora goats and is a fine, soft fibre with an average length of 4 to 5 inches and has been left unwashed for you to wash and dye.

Due to freedom these goats have  and the nature of hand picking  there may be a small amount of vegetable matter in our fleece.

Excellent for spinning, doll making and arts and crafts.

Exmoor Horn Large Raw (Unwashed) full fleece

This Fleece Comes From a Local Farm in Cornwall. Unusually for a hill breed sheep, the Exmoor Horn produces a very fine quality fleece which is of excellent colour, good staple length (approx 5 inches) and quality, with a micron count of 36.7
